Architecture is how I make sense of life.
I like the quote by Jim Rohn, “Whatever we build ends up building us”. I am mindful of this in my approach to my work. My philosophy is simple - I work from a premise of integrity, in interpreting what is appropriate and understanding the client’s needs and vision. I am respectful of time, and budget, and understand the importance of balancing the practical and the aesthetic.
As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I am committed to a high standard of service and design. And I believe that we should enjoy and grow through the process together.
I began my architectural studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. I went on to complete my Bachelor of Architecture at Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem, Israel. After graduating in 1996 I completed my practical training at architectural firms in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem.
In 2000 I returned to my home ground to start my own partnership, cutting my teeth on some very exciting projects in Johannesburg and its surrounds. In 2011, lured by the ocean, and the prospect of more challenging projects, I migrated to Cape Town to practice as an independent professional architect, and have been privileged to work on a broad and varied range of projects here ever since.
